It is suppose to remove the scaling that builds up in the system over time. It is hard to use this time of year, because you can't shut the car off with it, or it will freeze. You have to drain and rinse out the system to get all the antifreeze out, or it won't do squat. They are the same thing, the superflush is a smaller bottle than the cleaner.
